Biography

Elisabeth Oestreich was a contestant in the first Olympic 800 m race for women at the 1928 Amsterdam Games, the only race they had longer than 100 metres. The first Summer Olympian from Thuringia was eliminated in the heats. Oestreich only competed in one more international match and retired in 1933.

Personal Best: 800 – 2:26.1 (1928).
