Biography

Defender Alessandro Orlando spent six years in Serie A with Sampdoria, Udinese, A.C. Milan, Juventus and Fiorentina, scoring two goals in 90 appearances. He won consecutive Italian League titles with different clubs, with Milan in 1994, and Juventus the following year. Similarly, he won the Italian Cup in successive years, again with different teams, winning it with Juventus in 1995 and Fiorentina in 1996. He was a member of the Milan squad that won the UEFA Champions’ League in 1994. Orlando won just two under-21 international caps (during his time at Sampdoria), and was an unused substitute at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.
