Biography

A central defender, Piet Peereboom mostly played for HBS of The Hague. He was selected for the Dutch team for the 1920 Olympics, but didn’t play a single minute, and Peereboom never got to win his first cap. His greatest success came when HBS won the Dutch title in 1925, going undefeated in the final round of competition beteween all division winners. When Peereboom changed jobs to work for the Philips light bulbs factory in Eindhoven, he briefly also represented PSV. Professionally, Peereboom always worked as a purchaser, not just at Philips but also in finance, shipping and furniture. When he retired, he worked for the Dutch Red Cross as a board member.
