Biography

French football goalkeeper Christophe Revault played in 530 domestic matches from his début in 1992 until his retirement in 2010. Revault started his career as a junior player with Le Harve in 1988 before making his senior début with them in 1992. He played in 134 matches with the team until his transfer to Paris Saint-Germain in 1997. After one season with PSG and two with Rennes, he moved to Toulouse in 2000, playing in more than 200 matches with them. Revault left Toulouse in 2006 where he re-signed with Rennes, but only played one match. By 2007 he had rejoined Le Harve, finishing his career with them in 2010 making a further 82 appearances.

Early in Revault’s career he played in two matches for the national A team in 1995, the first against Belgium, and the second against Slovakia. His performances earned him a place on the French squad for the football tournament at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, but he did not play in any of the matches. After his retirement as a player Revault had two spells as the interim coach of Le Harve in 2012 and 2015. He died at his home in May 2021 from peritonitis. He was 49-years-old.
