Biography

Triple jumper Wolfgang Kolmsee finished sixth at the 1976 Montréal Olympics, setting a new German record in both the qualification and the final with 16.68. He also finished sixth at the 1977 World and European Cup. He participated four times at the European Indoors, 1975-77, and 1980. Domestically Kolmsee won five titles, one outdoors (1976) and four indoors (1975-78). He was educated as a sports teacher.
