Biography

Triple jumper Günter Krivec was eliminated in the qualifying round of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, as well as at the 1966 European Championships. He won the 1966 German Championship, and was runner-up in 1964 and 1967-68. In 1968 he could not start at the Mexico City Olympics as he had to finish his pharmaceutical studies.

Krivec later became a pharmacist and entrepreneur, and then a well-known sports patron, sponsor and president of the best-known German volleyball club Moerser SC. In 1985 he founded the club, which then won the German Championship in 1992, the European Cup in 1990, and the German Cup in 1991 and 1993. Krivec also coached several youth teams for the club.
