Biography

Hurdler Karl-Ernst Schottes was eliminated in the second round of the 110 hurdles at the 1960 Roma Olympics. He set one world record in the indoor 70 metre hurdles in 1956 and participated in 18 international matches, but never won a German title. He later trained multi-event athletes for the Athletics Association of Lower Rhine.

Personal Best: 110H – 14.3 (1957).
