Biography

Luigia Bonfanti was an Italian sprinter and long jumper. She competed at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics in the 100 metres and 4x100 metre relay and was capped twice for Italy in 1927-28. Bonfanti won six Italian titles in three events (sprints x 3, long jump, sprint relay x 2). She was the first and only Italian 75 metre champion, a race that was scheduled at the Italian athletics championships only at the 1926 edition in Dalmine.
