Franco Antonelli was an Italian middle distance runner at the end of the 1950s and the early 1960s. He was a worker at Fiat Torino and won one Italian title in the 10,000 in Torino in September 1961 with 30:41.6. In the 1960 Olympic year, Antonelli was the best Italian at 10K, placing 27th at the Roma Olympics. Antonelli was runner-up at the 1962-63 Italian Championships and earned 17 international caps from 1958-64.
