Biography

Italian long-distance runner Vito Di Terlizzi specialised in the marathon. At the 1955 national marathon championships Di Terlizzi finished in second place in a time of 2-34:41. Three years later he set his personal best time of 2-31:09 when he finished in 13th place at the 1958 European Championships in Stockholm. Di Terlizzi was selected to run the marathon at his home Olympics in Roma in 1960 but he did not finish the course.
