Biography
Iwao Masuda won the 400 metre title at the 1932 Japan Athletics Championships in 50 seconds flat, which earned him a place on the Japanese Olympic team, where he advanced only to round two. In the 4x400 metre relay, the Japanese team, including Masuda, placed fifth in the final.
