Prior to the 1932 Olympics, Jo Dalmolen competed in a Dutch relay team that broke the national record. They assumed this was sufficient to be sent to the Games in Los Angeles, but because of the high cost, they were not allowed to go. However, a fund raising football match and the sale of autographs brought in enough money for the two-month trip. In Los Angeles, the team performance was slightly disappointing, and they finished in fourth place. Two years later, Dalmolen participated in a more successful relay team, winning a silver medal at the Women’s World Games in London. Dalmolen won one Dutch title, in the 100 m, in 1935.

Personal Best: 100 – 12.8 (1935).
