Biography

Rolf Hansen was a Norwegian long-distance runner who was active during the 1930s. Hansen won his first medal at the national championships with bronze in the 5,000 metres in 1933 before winning the event in 1935. In 1936 he did the double by becoming the Norwegian champion in both the 5,000 and 10,000 metres. His performances earned him a place at the 1936 Berlin Olympics where he came ninth in the 5,000 metres. Hansen won his final medal at the national championships in 1937 with silver in the 5,000 metres.
