Biography

Austrian boxer Conny, son of Rupert König, was Austrian champion at lightweight (1979), light-welterweight (1980 and 1981), and welterweight (1982-86). At the 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympics, König participated in the welterweight division. His first-round bout against Tunisian Khemais Refai was stopped by the referee due to a head blow by König.

After König´s active career, the trained bank clerk was strongly committed to supporting disadvantaged children and young people, including through his non-profit organization King 5 Powerhof gGmbH, which he ran as a coach and trainer.
