Biography

Arvid Åberg was a Swedish track and field athlete who competed in the hammer throw. Åberg represented IFK Norrköping and was the Swedish champion in 1910 and 1911. In August 1911 he threw 45.18 metres to set a national record that lasted less than a month until Eric Lemming broke it. Åberg competed in the hammer throw at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics where he finished in 10th place. His daughter Majken competed in the discus throw at the 1948 London Olympics.

Personal Best: HT – 47.85 (1913).
