Biography

A fortnight after his 19th birthday, and still in high school, Hans Jagenburg captured his first Swedish title with a jump of 1.83. Nine years later he managed his second one, jumping 1.85. Between those years he did not compete regularly, and won few important meets. However, he did win the event in the Scandinavian triangular meet in 1918, and that season upped his career best to 1.86 in København, a mark which placed him fifth in the year’s world ranking.

Personal Best: HJ – 1.86 (1918).
