Biography

Swedish track and field athlete Thorvig Svahn set national records in both the high jump and the triple jump. Svahn set his first Swedish record in 1916 with 14.41 metres in the triple jump. In 1919 and 1920 he bettered the national record in the high jump, with his performances earning him a place on the Olympic team. At the 1920 Antwerpen Games he finished joint-ninth in the high jump with two other athletes who all cleared 1.750 metres in the final.
