Biography

Lynne Winbigler threw the discus for the University of Oregon and the Oregon Track Club. She was AAU champion with the discus in 1976, and 1978-79, won the US Olympic Trials in 1976, and set the American record in 1977. Winbigler represented the US at the 1977 World Cup, and in 1979, at the World Cup and Pan-American Games. She also made the ill-fated 1980 Olympic team. Winbigler married shot putter Colin Anderson, and later coached throwers at the University of Minnesota. She was inducted into the University of Oregon Athletics Hall of Fame in 1992.
