Biography

Lewis Anderson was a farm boy from Genoa, Nebraska. He ran in college for the University of Nebraska, placing third at the Western Intercollegiate cross-country meet in 1909. He was runner-up in the Central Olympic Trials in 1912 in the 1,500. After college he farmed in Lincoln, Nebraska, on a 175-acre farm, where he raised bees, fruits, and vegetables.
