Competing for the University of Florida, Ron Jourdan was NCAA indoor high jump champion in 1969. At the outdoor AAU meet, he finished fourth in 1969 and third in 1972. Outdoors at the NCAA he was third in 1969. After his college career he spent one year in professional track with the International Track Association. Jourdan settled back in Mobile, Alabama, where he worked with Warrior Gulf for over 30 years.
