Biography

Robert Juday won the AAU high jump in 1924 and finished third in that event in 1925-26. He competed for the Penn Railroad AA. Juday was one of the earliest high jumpers to use the Eastern roll style rather than the straddle. Juday became an aluminum salesman. He settled in Fort Wayne, Indiana, living there until 1974 when he and his wife, Irene, retired to Sarasota, Florida. Sadly, they had two children, both of whom died tragically in infancy.

Personal Best: HJ – 1.96 (6-5) (1924).
