Competing for the Worcester Order of Hibernians, Billy McMahon qualified for the 1936 Olympics by winning the AAU marathon in 1936 and finishing second at the Boston Marathon. McMahon was a Worcester native who always lived in, or near, that city. Little is known of his life.
