Biography

Mike McRae was TAC long jump champion in 1984. He finished third in the event in 1981 and fifth in 1985. He competed for the Bay Area Striders and Chabot Community College. McRae was world ranked #10 in 1984. He was ranked in the US top 10 four times – 1981, 1984-85, 1987 – with high rankings of #3 in 1981 and 1984. McRae made the 1984 US Olympic team on his final jump by only 3 cm.

Personal Bests: 100 – 10.44 (1984); LJ – 8.27 (27-1¾) (1984); TJ – 16.06 (52-8½) (1977).
