Biography

Dan O’Connor was a walker who represented the United States multiple times internationally and won 11 national titles at distances from 5 km. to 50 km. between 1979 and 1982. He addition to his Olympic appearances he competed for the US at the 1987 Pan American Games, the 1983 World Championships, and the World Cups of 1977, 1979, 1981, 1983, 1985, and 1987. He competed for the University of Tennessee and the Stars & Stripes TC.

Personal Bests: 20kmW – 1-25:56 (1984); 50kmW – 4-09:29 (1983).
