Biography

Karen Courtland was an American figure skater who competed mostly in pairs. She started out skating with Robert Davenport as a junior, and then skated with Jason Dungjen in 1989-91, placing first with him in Praha Skata in 1991. Courtland became best known for her time skating with Todd Reynolds, with whom she competed at the 1994 Lillehammer Winter Olympics. Courtland and Reynolds were third at the US Championships in 1993 and 1994, after finishing fourth in 1992. They finished third together at Skate America in 1994 and at Trophée Lalique in 1993. Courtland later married Patrick Kelly and became a motivational speaker and pilates instructor.
