Biography

Born in South Tyrol, Sarah Felder began competing from a young age, participating in 1971, at 15, in the European Junior Championships in Mariánské Lázně, Czechoslovakia, where she finished ninth, and in the World Championships in Valdaora, where she finished 11th. In 1972 she took part in the Sapporo Winter Olympics, in the single, placing eighth, where she was the youngest Italian athlete at the Games.

In 1973 and 1974 Felder won the European Junior Championship in the single. In both years she also competed in the World Championships, placing sixth in 1973, and fourth in 1974. In 1975 she was fifth in the European Championships in Valdaora, and she participated again at the 1976 Innsbruck Winter Olympics, where she finished 11th in the single.
