Biography

Austrian figure skater Susi Giebisch partnered Helmut Seibt at both the 1948 World Championships (13th) and European Championships (8th). At the St. Moritz Winter Olympics that year, the pair came 11th, and at the 1949 Europeans they finished 14th. Giebisch and Seibt skated with EK Engelmann Wien (Vienna). Nationally, they were runners-up in the three years 1946-48.

Giebisch later competed with non-Olympian Rudi Seeliger, and the pair won the national championship in 1950. Giebisch also came third in the women’s singles at the 1949 nationals and second in 1950.
