Biography

Christine Haigler grew up skating in Colorado Springs, attending Cheyenne Mountain High School and representing the Broadmoor Skating Club. As a singles skater, she placed on the podium for three consecutive years at the US Championships, 1963-65, second in 1963 and 1965 and third in 1964. She also competed all three years at the World Championships, finishing 19th, 5th, and 5th, respectively, although she was World Junior Champion in 1962. Haigler later became a skating coach in Colorado Springs, and has worked in skating administration with the US Figure Skating Association, serving at one time as senior director of athlete programs.
