Biography

Ernestina Maenza was a Spanish Alpine skier who represented Real Canoe NC in Madrid. Maenza was the national skiing champion from 1935 to 1940, with her performances earning her a place on the national team. She competed in the combined event at the 1936 Garmisch-Partenkirchen Olympics, but finished in last place after the downhill element after skiing with a dislocated shoulder. She was married to Enrique Herreros, a noted mountaineer, actor, film director, and artist.
