Biography

Leslie Smith skied for Middlebury College and was the first four-time All-American at that school, well-known for its many skiers. Smith skied one World Cup year for the US, in 1974-75. In 1976 she was only on the US B team, but moved up to make up the Olympic team. He wins included victories at the 1974 Europa Cup in St. Gervais, and in 1975, she won the Can-Am Trophy, a Can-Am slalom at Waterville Valley, and the US Junior championships in giant slalom.
