Biography

Marianne Streifler was a pairs figure skater from Frankfurt on Main. She partnered with Herbert Wiesinger at international competitions and finished 11th at the 1967 World Championships, and 12th in 1968. At the 1967 Europeans they finished 11th, were ninth in 1968, and sixth in 1969. At the 1968 Grenoble Winter Games they were placed 11th. At the West German Championships, the pair won silver in 1967 and 1969, and bronze in 1968. After retiring from amateur competition, Streifler spent four years skating for “Holiday on Ice”, before she turned to coaching.
