Biography

Austrian alpine skier Lea Sölkner participated in the 1980 Lake Placid and 1984 Sarajevo Winter Olympics. She did not finish three of her four events and came eighth in the 1984 downhill race as her best result. In 1978, she won the slalom gold medal at the World Championships as her finest moment internationally. Sölkner won three Austrian national titles: 1977 giant slalom, and 1982 and 1984 downhill.
