Stefano Landuzzi always played baseball for his hometown club Fortitudo Bologna. He made his début in the Italian Top League in 1991, under coach Paolo Frignani, as a catcher. Landuzzi won two titles in 2003 and 2005.
With the national team, Landuzzi won silver medals at both the 1995 and 1999 European Championships and was a member of the Italian team at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
