Biography

Mark Beaufait played in college at Northern Michigan University from 1988-92, helping them win the 1991 NCAA championship. Beufait played five games in the NHL, with the San Jose Sharks in the 1992/93 season. He spent most of his professional career in the IHL (International Hockey League) from 1992-2001, with the Kansas City Blades and Orlando Solar Bears, and then played six seasons with Eisbären Berlin (Berlin Polar Bears) of the German League. He helped Eisbären win four German national championships, and led the German League in scoring in 2002/03. In January 2011 his number was retired by the Eisbären Berlin. Beaufait later coached youth and high school hockey in Michigan.
