Biography

Elwyn Friedrich was a Swiss ice hockey player who jumped around to various teams in the Swiss leagues. He played for the Grasshoppers, the ZSC, Lausanne, a Paris team, and ACBB Villars before settling with the third-division Lugano team in 1964. He later moved up to the first-division Ascona team, finishing his career in 1972, after spending several years as a player-coach. Friedrich competed in three World Championships, those of 1961-63.
