Biography

Right winger Shinkichi Kamei played on the first line for Japan in their two games at the 1936 Winter Olympics national team and on their European tour. Kamei was known for his fast skating and dangerous play on the right wing. With five goals in 12 friendlies he was the team’s top scorer. Although both universities, Keio and Waseda, claim that Kamei was their student, more sources confirm that he attended Keio University.
