Primarily a road racer, Alexandre Foureaux competed in the first Tour de France in 1903, placing 16th, and rode the race again in 1904, with less success. He rode Bordeaux-Paris in 1896-97 and 1900-01, with a best placing of fifth in 1901. He also copmeted at Paris-Roubaix in 1899 and 1901, finishing sixth in 1901.
