Inge Lindqvist

Swedish ski jumper Inge Lindqvist had a brief career in the late 1950s and early 1960s that saw him become a regular in the Four Hills tournament. Lindqvist made his début in the competition in the 1957–58 season, finishing 32nd overall. In 1959 he became the Swedish champion, his only national title, before competing in the 1959–60 Four Hills after taking a year out from international competitions. On 1 January 1960 he had his best ever individual result when he placed fourth on the large hill in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

A month later Lindqvist was selected to compete in the same event at the Squaw Valley Olympics, but only managed to place 29th out of the 45 competitors. He then had his best overall performance at the Four Hills in the 1961–62 season, finishing eighth. Despite improvements in his results, Lindqvist retired from the sport shortly afterwards.
