Geoff Hibbins was a Life Member of the Collegians Football Club and is often considered their greatest player ever. Six times he was selected as the Collegians’ Best and Fairest – 1950-51, 1954-56, and 1961. Hibbins captained the Australian side that demonstrated Aussie Rules at the Melbourne Olympics. Hibbins was the outstanding player of five premiership sides, in 1956-59 and 1961. He was captain and coach of the Collegians from 1961-62 and a non-playing coach in 1967-68.
