Biography

His father Joaquín Larraín Gana was a member of the jumping team which won gold at the 1951 Pan American Games (with César Mendoza, Ricardo Echeverría, and the non-Olympian Alberto Larraguibel) as well as bronze at the 1959 Pan American Games (with Americo Simonetti, Óscar Cristi, and the non-Olympian Gastón Zuñiga).
