Biography

Midfielder Jeannette Götte was a member of the German women’s football squad that won the bronze medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics by beating Brazil 2-0. Therefore, she was awarded the Silver Bay Leaf, Germany’s highest sports award. Götte won eight international caps in total.

At club level, Götte played with SV Westfalia Hagen (until 1996), Rot-Weiß Hillen (1996-99), FFC Flaesheim-Hillen (1999-2001), FCR 2001 Duisburg (2001-03), SG Wattenscheid 09 (2003-09) and 1. FFC Recklinghausen (2011-14). By profession, she became an IT specialist working for a furniture company.
