Biography

French gold- and silversmith Amédée Auguste Plasait mainly produced Art Nouveau and Art Déco decorative articles like lambs, candlesticks, vases, small boxes and others, mostly for the silverware manufacturer Plasait-Orfèvre. Even his son, Pierre-Amédée Plasait, who was only 14 at the time of his father’s participation in the Olympics, later followed his father in the family business. The Olympian worked together with Elie Hervier, engineer of Arts and Crafts and both handed in the four submitted trophies.
