Biography

Werner Schindler was a Swiss architect, who earned the silver medal for his work Projekt ETS Magglingen, Eidgenössische Turn- und Sportschule (Swiss Federal Sports and Gymnastics Training Centre ETS Magglingen) in the canton of Bern together with Edy Knupfer at the 1948 London Olympics in the Art Competitions in the category Architecture, Designs For Town Planning. The construction started in 1946, while the first section with the buildings by Knupfer and Schindler was completed in 1949. During the 1950s and 1960s Schindler was engaged in the planning of a project for a sports and green area on the Emmersberg near Schaffhausen. Nothing else is known about his life.
