Biography

Mario Trabucco was an Italian athlete who was active between the Wars. Coming from the Liguria region and a member of the Nafta club in Genova, he was a triple jump specialist. Trabucco was the first Italian triple jumper to use more modern techniques. He won his first Italian title in September 1924 at Bologna with 13.755, but he was not chosen for the Italian team at the 1924 Paris Olympics. Trabucco won three further Italian titles in a row, 1925-27. He still competed at a good level until 1930 with a 13.58 in his city of Genova.

Personal best: Triple jump – 13.78 (1927).
