Biography

Timo Murama was a Finnish skier and ski jumper. Murama competed in two events at the 1936 Garmisch-Partenkirchen Olympics. Murama finished in joint-seventh in the Nordic combined. He also finished in 24th place in the ski jump.

Murama won the Nordic combined in his hometown of Rovaniemi in 1935, 1938, 1939, and 1941. He also won in the ski jump from 1937–39. Murama was the first person in Finland to jump more than 70 metres, doing so on the Pöyliövaaran hill in February 1937. Murama later ran a sports equipment store.
