Biography

Reikichi Nakamura was a student at Waseda University when he was a member of the Japanese team for the 1936 Winter Olympics, where he placed 11th in 500 m. During his trip to Europe, he also competed at the European Championships in Oslo. Domestically, his greatest success came at the Japanese student championships. Twice, he was a member of the victorious Waseda 2,000 m relay team (1937, 1939) and had a couple of second places.

Personal Bests: 500 – 45.0 (1936); 1500 – 2:30.4 (1936); 5000 – 9:27.8 (1942); 10000 – 19:20.7 (1942).
