From 1951 to 1956 Régis Rey was a member of the French ski jump team and competed at the World Championships and two Olympic Games. At the 1952 Oslo Olympics Rey finished 38th on the large hill with his best effort of 91.0 metres coming on his second jump. Four years later he tied for 48th with Enzo Perin at the 1956 Cortina d’Ampezzo Olympics. In 1955 Rey set a French record with a jump of 110 metres that was bettered by his brother Robert a decade later.
