Biography

Biathlete Dieter Ritter was placed 33rd at the 1964 Innsbruck Winter Olympics in the 20 km event. Domestically, he helped his home club SC Dynamo Zinnwald to win the East German national title with the military patrol in 1963. He also participated as a cross country skier and won the national title over 50 km in 1962. He also won three silvers in 1963 (30 km, 50 km and with the relay), and two bronzes in 1966 (50 km and relay).
