Biography

Ice hockey forward Herlmut Steiger played with EV Landshut until 1985, before moving to Kölner EC Haie until 1994. He ended his career at Landshut in 1997. Steiger won the national title with Landshut in 1983, and with Kölner three times between 1986-88.

Internationally, Steiger played 152 games for the West German national team and scored 53 goals. He played for them between 1982-90, appearing in six world championships, and two Winter Olympics (Sarajevo, 1984 and Calgary, 1988).
