Chris Terreri was a goaltender who played for Providence College, graduating in 1986. Prior to the 1988 Winter Olympics, he played for the US at the 1985-87 World Championships, and he would later tend the nets at the 1997 Worlds. Terreri had a long NHL career, playing 14 seasons, appearing in 406 games, with a career 3.06 goals against average, and recording nine shutouts. Terreri started with the New Jersey Devils, and then played for the New York Islanders, San Jose Sharks, and Chicago Black Hawks, before coming back for his last two seasons with the Devils and Islanders. He also played some in the minors, with the Utica Devils and Maine Mariners of the American Hockey League (AHL), and the Indianapolis Ice of the International Hockey League. After retiring in 2001, Terreri came back in 2006, playing in one game with the Albany River Rats of the AHL, while he was serving as their goaltending coach. Since his playing retirement, Terreri has worked as a goaltending coach in the minors.
